This is an Important call to ALL the Pacers, from the Records or PR's Guru: " I NEED YOU TO SEND ME or POST IN THIS FORUM "your best times for all the running distances you participate before.
I am willing to organze all your personal best times if they changed after March 2007 and post them in the web page and add some other features.
During the last 6 months only 3 people sent to me the updates. I apologize with them because I was waiting to collect more information before update the records.
Having your personal records posted in our Web Page is a way to motivate ourserlves to improve. Also creates a positive and healthy feeling of competition between the club members.
I hope every body reply with their new PR's or New goals for this 2008.

Thanks

The Record's Guru.

Help with records

Postby ryderruns on Thu Jan 10, 2008 10:53 am

I guess you already know that one of the best ways to check for club records is to look at the results that are posted to the webisite. There are so many people who are too lazy to email you or they feel that their time is not "good enough" to send you.

All of us should take a look at the records and see if we have run better times than those which are posted. Not a chance that applies to me, but I'm sure that it does to other members.

Kily - I think many of mine will stay the same, but update the marathon to 4:06 in Philly and 59:02 at the 2008 Steam Whistle 12k. That should have me set.

Thanks!

Ginny Dufrene and Frank Barett got PRs for the 5K distance in the race that took place yesterday.

Hey Kily, include those in the PBP records and post them somewhere but.........before Christmas comes to town!

Congratulations to Ginny and Frank for improving their PR on the 5K.

I was checking out the club record section and there are many of you who have not submitted information. Let's all try to do a better job of getting this information to Kily so that this section of the website will be more meaningful. For instance, I know that many of you participated in the 2 mile predicted times events, yet there are not that many times submitted for that distance.

While in town for the snow, I mean for a final presentation, I ran into Vicki Copeland who I found out has achieved not one, but two PRs this fall. Way to go, Viki, you are my newest hero!

For her sake at least, isn't it about time for someone to step up to the plate and update the club records? If it can be done electronically, I am going to be unemployed and finished with school for at least the forseeable future and, despite my love of Macs, will have access to PCs that run Microsoft Office (cough, cough) programs. I think that there are quite a few in this topic that could be incorporated.

Just offering....

Hello Sheryl,

Nice to know that you are still around. We are on top of your request. I am currently in the process of updating the existing records to get them in a format that will be more user friendly for Running Bear. I will be completing that later today and posting for all new updates on the forum.
