I'm reluctant to mention this for fear of omitting someone. Here goes---we have some very fast young Pacers. At yesterday's Run for the Roses 5K, 9 year old Pacer Grace Mozingo won her AG with a time of 27:58. That averages 9:02 per mile and age grades at 23:36.

8 year old Tate Ryder recently ran just a little over 24 minutes for the 5K.

Oak Grove HS runner Melinda Solomon continues to win most of the distance races in which she competes. Another OG runner and Pacer, Britany Ware is currently injured but has previously run some fantastic times.

Bo Henderson who was the 2008 Young Runner of the Year continues to place in his AG at local runs.

Hopefully, I have not omitted anyone. If I did, please post an update. I just think it's great that we have these young runners who are doing so well.

Becky, Thanks for spotlighting some of these outstanding young runners! It is great to see some of the talented running youth get some positive recognition. Keep up the fast work.
