Great Banquet!

Postby ryderruns on Thu Feb 21, 2008 9:58 pm

A huge thank you to everyone who had a hand in making the Pacer banquet such a success. Jim did a great job as MC, Kily's pictoral program was very well done, Audrey is a fine Prez, the food was good and plenty---I could go on and on, but I'll just finish by saying that it's a pleasure to be a part of such a great group. Thanks to all of you who worked on the banquet.

Silent Auction Followup

Postby jcoll on Mon Feb 25, 2008 4:00 pm

Thank you to all of you who participated in the silent auction and banquet last Thursday. Initial reports from the club treasurer are that we raised approximately $750 for the PBP scholarship at Southern Miss, which should push our total past the $5,500 mark. As you know, we had a few items for which we did not receive minimum bids. After discussing it with a few Pacers we felt like the best thing to do was open up bidding online for a short time prior to putting the items on e-bay. I've sent photos of the remaining items to Running Bear, who hopefully will post them shortly. All bids should be placed as a reply to this item on the forum. We will close the auction Friday at 5 p.m., when I will announce the winners. Please e-mail questions to jcoll@southernmissalumni.com.

Items and Minimum Bids Include

2006 Crescent City Classic Poster (Size - 20 x 27 inches, approx.)
Minimum Bid - $25

Thanks for the bids Dawn, Keith and Raul. If you don't mind, please send checks directly to Deborah. Please let me know how best to get the items to you.

I plan to place the remaining items on Ebay shortly.
