Have you folks given any thought to adding additional indexes to this forum? Perhaps an index called Training to post your training logs, a Multisport index for Triathlons and Duathlons and leave the existing Running index for race reports and upcoming events.

This is something that has previously been discussed by the officers. I think that in some ways, it would be a good idea, but like many of you, I've become somewhat comfortable with what we now have.

I don't even know who is in charge of this forum. Maybe we should talk to that person (whomever you are) and see how difficult it might be to make changes. If it's not too hard, we could get suggestions from the more frequent posters regarding formatting. I think that it is most important that the people who use the forum the most should be the ones making decision on changes.

What do the rest of you think?

I do a lot more reading than I do posting, I can see on a forum with hundreds of posts daily that it would be nice to divide up the posts. I like to read all the posts here, so dividing the posts in different indexes would just take me longer to read them.

We have discussed this before and there was an interest in exploring this further. I think if we start getting an overwhelming amount of posts, we would need to consider doing this. Right now, I feel like the posts are pretty manageable in the forum as they stand. I do think it is a good idea, for the future when all our members start posting. Laughing We also need to ask the webmaster how difficult it would be to do this. Would this create a burden? I am not very computer savy, so I just truly don't know. Anyway, we need more input from other members. What do all of you want?

At last night's Pacer officer's meeting, it was decided that until we have more traffic on the forum, we will leave things as they are presently formatted. If/when we get to the point that we are having a great number of posts each day, we will consider making changes.
