The Pacer Relays (June 9) are almost here!

This year we will be again host a kids' quarter mile run as part of the event. Like a year ago, there will no entry fee and no formal registration required. However, we'd like to get a good grip on who plans to attend so that we ensure we have enough trophies to go around. If you plan to bring children that will run, please let me know either by posting a reply to this message or by e-mailing jcoll@southernmissalumni.com.

I'll post an event schedule sometime in the next few days, but I imagine that like last year the quarter-mile will take place sometime in the middle of the relays, putting it around 10-10:30 a.m.

Look forward to seeing you there. Run! for Your Life.

Shocked Did you guys eliminate from the schedule the only event (the 800m walk) that I would ever be able to finish in the top 10% in my entire life? LOL

Now, I will have to lose at least 20 pounds in 2 weeks and drop my pace 2 minutes per mile to be able to somehow be competitive in any of the other races Wink

I would say the 4x100 (have the closest finish!) and the kids' race are my favorite events although.... in fact I like all of them!! I could participate in relay and team events every single week!

Please take note of 4 children running the Quarter mile (my 2 kids and 2 of their friends!)

Just an oversight on the poll question.

Fear not. I might even have coffee!

I'll have at least one of mine and I'm hoping to have about 10 total. (I'm going to try and bring a group from the Boys and Girls Club but we don't start til Monday with our summer session...I know it'll be late but I'll try and get a count for you on Tuesday). I know it won't be more than 14 because I think that's all I can fit in the van!
