I'm looking for someone who would be interested in participating/competing in sprint triathlons with me. I'm pretty new to triathlons. The next one I'm doing is Sept. 27th at Mexico Beach, FL (just east of Panama City). It's 1/2 mile open water swim, 15 mile bike, and 5K run.

I have been wanting to do a triathlon but I am running in a 5K in daphne on that date. If you plan on doing another will you post it and maybe I can participate in that one. I have not done one so it should be lots of fun but I have no idea how to train for one.

Great! I haven't looked past the one in Sept., but I'll take a look and see what I can find. I did my first one on Mother's Day. I started training mid-February from ground zero. I got help from Becky Ryder and Sheryl Chatfield. I can give you the workouts they gave me. Do you go to the track at Thames on Tuesday evenings?

I have been planning to go but my husband works offshore and it is hard to find a sitter for my two children on Tues night when he is gone. But he is home now so maybe I can make this one comming up. Do you think it would be alright if they came. Would they be in the way? I would like my husband to meet everyone so he knew who I was talking about.

Come on out and join us and bring the kids. There is playground equipment and there are usually several other kids there.

Becky is the boss, so if she says you can bring 'em, then bring 'em on. There is lots of room for play out there, so I think it's a great idea. I will look forward to meeting you on Tuesday at 6:00. Susan
