Any topic related to running

web site

Postby AnyMouse on Thu Oct 09, 2008 12:32 pm

Kind of old fashioned, and it seems like the main page has not
changed since I got to town in September. I hear the web guy is a real grouch and not a real runner, maybe a club officer or someone could get him in gear or look for ? Just an idea.

Other ideas: more eating events.

Running Bear???

Postby ryderruns on Thu Oct 09, 2008 4:56 pm

I hope this previous post is just Running Bear trying to be funny. If not, I think we need to set a trap for this mouse.

Look at profile interests

According to the interests listed in the profile, this mouse certainly has two interests that Running Bear would never list. I'll leave it up to you to decide...

Anymouse, who are you? Obviously, you missed out last eating event, or you were hiding in the cheese!! I think we should plan the next eating event at your house!! I love it when members suggest ideas, cuz that means you are ready to host those ideas. Let us know what you have in mind!!

Criticism

Postby ryderruns on Sun Oct 12, 2008 10:36 am

I still think Running Bear is behind this. If not, I agree with Audrey. If we find out who you are, we will assign a very important task to you. Anyone who has criticism of the way the club operates should be willing to take on a task in order to make it better.

In fact, it is not Running Bear or Elmer, it's Ann's hubby, Mr Bearshall or "Oso Corredor"! 8)

Looks like I hit a nerve! Sorry, just trying to be constructive. So if anyone complains you stick them with work? How can I get in touch with this Running Bear? We need more eating events, maybe he/(she?) will be more receptive. I am not much of a runner and I get the feeling the club discriminates against people like me (~overweight). Do you have to actually go to club activities to participate?

"Be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem"!!! A quote from somebody, somewhere!! Anyway, we welcome more eating events, we also don't discriminate against overweight non-runners, I feel like there is just a runner in there somewhere waiting to get out. We can show you the light!! However, I do believe if our members have special requests, they should be willing to "step up to the plate" (ok that was bad, but I couldn't help myself, I am sick and I need help). So, if you would like more eating events, then let's do it, and let's start at your house!! And, if this is Running Bear, don't you have a vacation or something to go to?

I certainly did

Postby npweightloss on Wed Nov 05, 2008 9:08 pm

I missed the last eating event and I've got a weight loss challenge tomorrow night so I can't be at the meeting. I would be willing to host something though. My place is kinda small, but we can make it work.

That is great! Hold that thought. As soon as I get through this Hobble/Gobble race, we will certainly get with you on your offer. How is your running and your weight loss program going? Keep us posted on your progress.

We can do that. I'm down a total of 39 lbs. My goal is to lose 20 more by the new year. Went walking/jogging with my fiance this evening for 2.5 mi
