When Animals Attack Back

Postby Neonwolfen on Mon Mar 30, 2009 11:13 pm

Well Ms. Becky ...

Yes ... I was ambushed by 5 dogs that have been trying to get a piece of me for awhile ... normally the smaller ones circle my feet to slow me down so that the larger one can snap at me a little ... well, he/she finally got a piece of me ...

Poor dog probably suffering from a nasty stomach ache now ... I don't think I taste all that good, you know ...

Anyhoot, I am glad Ms. Susan wasn't hurt ... but maybe it is a sign that the animals have had enough of putting up with us humans finally ...

And I hope that you do challenge us again ... and I hope I can meet your challenge!

Good luck with making the 100 days.

Almost There

Ms. Ginny ... ... I mean Ginny,

Your times put me to shame, but I am still hanging in there! Last week was a challenge, and Sunday wasn't very pretty at all as I was fighting a bug of some sort. However, I am GOING to finish Ms. Becky's challenge - just "because". I look forward to the next one!

Impressive

Postby ryderruns on Mon Apr 06, 2009 10:28 am

I am in awe of those of you who been able to continue with the challenge. I am also a bit ashamed that after I put worth the challenge, I was unable to carry through. Actually, there have been two times since the January 1 beginning date, that I have been sick to the point that I could not have possiblly run or walked for the minimum of 30 minutes. Those of you who are still in the streak are amazing.

I plan to attempt this once again on Jan 1, 2010. Maybe I'll be more successful. In the meantime, I enjoy knowing that some of you have been able to stay the course.

Happy Good Friday! Yay! Good Friday for several reasons.

I want to send out a BIG CONGRATS to Joe for completing the 100 day challenge. Joe you have been tenacious about this challenge so I know that you have made it, or will finish later today. You should be very proud. Also, if we still have any lurkers still in the challenge - congrats to you also.

My final times are as follows:
Monday - 50 min
Tues. - 65 min
Wed - 33 min
Thurs. - 35 min
Friday - I didn't plan it this way, but when I looked back at my time today it was a perfect 100 minutes, excellent, ending the 100 day challenge with 100 mintues, I like that. Now, to quote my good Columbian friend - "I am done - no more exercise for me." Ha Ha

Yeah right!
Happy Easter!

Who are you lurkers?

Postby ryderruns on Fri Apr 10, 2009 9:39 pm

A huge congratulations to all of you who met the challenge! I think there are at least three of you---Ginny, Joe and ??? (don't want to reveal the name until permission is given)

If there are any of you who made the 30 minute minimum run/walk for 100 straight days, beginning Jan 1, please let me know. I would like to submit an article to the Hattiesburg American and would like to take a picture. You all deserve recognition for quite an effort.

Yep ... made it

Postby Neonwolfen on Sat Apr 11, 2009 11:53 am

I wasn't able to post yesterday, but yep ... I did manage the complete the challenge! This week was tough - I been having stomach problems for the start of the week and then got a nasty cold ... but I told myself that it was only a few more days and gutted it out as best I could ... so yes, I did it.

Thanks to Ms. Becky for issuing the 100 day challenge ... and you are awesome because well, you ARE an example for each and every one of us.

Thanks to Ms. Ginny ... I mean Ginny for the encouragement to keep going ... coming from a you it meant a lot ...

And thanks to all the Pacers ... for allowing me to hang with a group of super people that continue to blaze a path for the rest of us to follow ...

Thanks Everyone ...

Congratulations Ginny, Joe, and Unknown!
It requires a lot of commitment to complete this kind of challenge. Good job guys!

I tried and completed it too! However, I think I missed around 48 days. Maybe I'll do better next year.
