Ran the half marathon in Jackson this weekend and think I have found a new passion. Think I might like to meet some of the people on this forum in the Pine Belt and see if I can improve my times. Where do I start?

Welcome - you have made a good first step by joining the forum. It's a great resource and it will keep you up to date on pacer current events.

Next - show up for an event. A great choice would be Becky's Tues. night track workout at Thames Elementary. Becky is a GREAT resource for all distances. This starts tomorrow evening Tues., June 16th., and this will be the first night.

Also, showing up for local races, that is an excellent way to meet other runners, especially if you hang around after the races.

Good Luck and congrats on the half.

Just say hey!! Next event, or race, introduce yourself!! There are so many fun and motivating members. I have never met so many people who will inspire you, encourage you and/or motivate you in your endeavors, whatever they may be. Keep checking the forum for group runs, and/or meetings.
Catch you on the run!! Audrey
