I have accepted a position with USM for fall and spring semester of 2009-2010. We will be moving back between next week and August 10th (I'm racing on the 8th in Tupelo so need to hang around Oxford until that is over) and again living near campus.

It has been a year of challenges for us - we lived in south Florida until December and have been in Oxford searching for jobs and exploring other options including (more) grad school since that time. I am winding down work as a lifeguard at the Oxford City Pool, something I have enjoyed a great deal. (I am still a slow swimmer but I can pull a distressed swimmer to the side - eventually!) We are enjoying biking on the hills of north Mississippi and that is what I will miss the most when we leave here, although I will also miss the regular access I have to the rubberized high school track. What I am probably looking forward to the most is having regular income and the ability to put together another bicycle (or two).

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again soon and I'm going to be glad to have a chance to try out the Eagleman Triathlon. My check for Pacer membership renewal is in the mail.

Yay!!!!! I am very excited ya'll will be back! You can't leave again, though, because it took me about 9 months before I stopped looking for you on the Trace after you left.
