If you can attend the TOT, let us know so we have an idea of who is coming so we can all leave on the run at the same time. It is ok to just show up, but this will kind of give us an idea of how many are coming so we don't leave anyone behind. Come on everyone, I see a lot of requests on Nestor's poll for more club activities!! We have a calendar with scheduled events listed, so everyone has ample time to plan to attend. Let's have a good turn out so we can make plans for more events!!

Good Times, Good Times

Postby Audrey's Little Helper on Sat Feb 09, 2008 9:01 am

Track on Tap (ToT) recap:

Jim Coll, Terry Lawhead, Jeff Hathorn, Kily, Audrey and Audrey’ Little Helper enjoyed the perfect running weather with well place stops, while trying to keep up with the pace of Terry and Jim. We completed just over 4 miles while stopping at Cucos, Icehouse (Audrey’s favorite), Keg and Barrel and ending @ the END Zone.

Along the way, Jeff joined the club and Kily paid his dues for the year, and a foosball tournament broke out and, of course, all inquisitive patrons were invited to attend, next ToT, which is March 6.

At the meeting, Kily discussed his club newsletter project, Audrey stated some Club Goals, and Jim gave a brief synopsis on the Banquet. I collected Jeff and Kily money (dues). All in all, a small but enthusiastic meeting.

The opportunity for us all together and exchange stories (tales), running tips and good cheer is Feb. 21 at the Pacer Banquet. Please do make an effort to attend and mark you calendars for March 6, the next ToT. Maybe next month you will be saying TGITh, ok not as catchy as TGIF, but I’m trying.

Fun Night

Postby ryderruns on Fri Mar 07, 2008 1:37 pm

Last night there were seven of us who met for Track on Tap. As usual, we had a fun time. If you really need a stress relief with lots of laughs, you should plan on attending the next Track on Tap.

We met at 5:45 pm at the Gateway. Present were Vicki Copeland, Charles Jackson, Jeff Hathorn, Jim Coll, Haynes Haselmier, James Daniel and Becky Ryder.

Vicki made the suggestion that we run to the downtown area, but we determined that might be a bit far for our purposes. So, we chose to run down the abandoned railroad tracks toward downtown. We eventually made our way over to Hardy Street to Nick's Ice House (1.7 miles). Just before we got there I found a unopened DVD lying in the street. When I opened it, I found that it was in perfect condition and it was one that I haven't seen - Casino.

After some liquid refreshments and a couple of games of FB, we headed out and took a round about route to Keg and Barrell (1.3 miles). The place was quite crowded and we got some strange looks, especially when Vicki asked if she could by half a glass of beer. Guess what? They gave her half a glass of beer --- free. After an in depth discussion of various collegiate football programs, we headed back up Hardy Street until we cut over to 4th Street where we made our final stop at The End Zone (1.4 miles).

I hope the guys eventually made it home. Vicki and I left them there at about 8:00 pm as we ran back to the Gateway so that I could meet Jamie Walker for her St Thomas 5k planning meeting.

The total distance run was about 4.5 miles which is about what is usually covered. The pace is slow and no one is dropped. Come on out next time!

According to our club calendar, we do have a T on T scheduled for Thursday, June 5. Anyone have suggestions? I'll be there (just way in the back). Who else wants to join us?

Let me know

Postby ryderruns on Wed Jun 04, 2008 10:19 pm

If no one posts with a plan for T on T, I will run in the morning. I certainly don't want to wait until late in the day, unless I will be rewarded with the pleasure of the company of Pacers.

Please post if you plan to do T on T.

If you decide to do this Becky and Jim, post and I will meet you. If not, I will do a yoga class at Kelly's.

Come on fellow pacers!! We hear a lot of noise about people wanting more activities such as this, but not a lot of participation in these events. I know this is a busy time of year, but check the pacer calendar and plan ahead. I guarantee a good time!!

No T on T for me

Postby ryderruns on Thu Jun 05, 2008 10:28 am

Since no one has posted a plan for T on T, I'm going to the Y for my indoor run. Audrey---looks like you can do the yoga class.

can we move T on T

Postby Audrey's Little Helper on Mon Jun 30, 2008 9:54 am

Can we move Track on Tap to next week?

I think we may have more people if we move it to July 10 and maybe start @ 6:30pm or 7:00pm, instead of 5:30pm.
