As a coach, I have always told athletes that there are no stupid questions (unless the athletes asked the same question over and over).
Regarding your quesion as to what is a PR. It stands for Personal Record. As runners, we tend to establish our personal records (or best performance) and then we try to improve. Unless you are as old as I and in that case I go for RFTY which is Record for the Year. When I race a particular distance, I spend the rest of the year attempting to improve on that time and thus establish a record for the year.

Becky is correct. There are no stupid questions. That is what a running club/forum is about. Learning from others, meeting new people, etc.
